Our support
MioCare Group – supporting people to get the most out of life
Someone’s referral to our Residential Reablement Service can be made for a variety of reasons. For example, recovery after a fall, an acute illness or an operation. A short stay at Medlock Court can mean someone avoiding going into hospital unnecessarily, or returning home more quickly after a hospital stay. Where possible, the aim is to reduce dependence on others for daily living, so that the people we support can continue to live as independently as possible. We encourage people to engage in the reablement process and work towards their agreed goals. Everyone’s needs and goals are individual, and we do our best to provide person-centred care providing the best possible outcomes.
The process
Download our ‘Your guide, to your care’ booklet, which is given to people when they arrive at Medlock Court.
It describes in detail what to expect from a stay at Medlock, and what the care, support and overall reablement journey can look like, stage-by-stage.
