An exciting week in our digital journey…Care Control has gone live at Medlock Court!
We have been working with the Care Control team as we initially look to roll-out the care planning element of their care management software across our organisation, as a way to better support our services, the people delivering them and crucially the people that use and need them too.
The work has been productive and we have had a great start to our partnership. Getting to the ‘go-live’ point has taken a lot of preparation over the last few months but we are really pleased to be pressing ahead with a service-by-service phased introduction of this new software – starting in our Residential Enablement Service at Medlock Court.
Colleagues at Medlock have been undertaking the required training recently and we want to say a big thank you to them, as they are the first people in our workforce to utilise this new system.
We're thankful to our Digital Change Lead Sandra who has been the driving force behind getting us to this milestone. Sandra will continue to work with the team at Medlock Court and then other teams throughout the Group too.We are also hugely appreciative to partners and colleagues across Team Oldham and at Care Control for their hard work, expertise and input.
There is plenty of necessary work going on in parallel to the introduction of Care Control too. For example, the connectivity upgrades being undertaken in various locations (i.e. faster, more reliable internet/WiFi) will make a real difference to how we can deliver services, as will the use of new hardware.
All in all, a big job! But a crucial one that is certainly worth doing well.
We continue moving forward with 'The MioCare Way' in mind...
